  • Whats your job

I was speaking to a Wamper earlier and we got on to discussing their work (pretty interesting actually) and I wondered what you all did for a living.

Well my job is pretty mundane, I just drive a small van around delivering car parts to garages. Not exactly my ideal but it got me out of a dire situation at my last employers. Good point is I get to see the beautiful countryside around my town.
"I lOVE your attitude Wag - painting for the hell of it, because you want to - one of the best things I did was invite you over here as to me you invoke the wamp spirit perfectly." - thankyou DL !

Right now I'm an intern at a small local art gallery but I'm looking into other options, hopefully something at the town hall, either at the IT or (crossing my fingers) cultural department.

I used to work as a senior manager with one of the big 4 consulting firms, specializing in privacy and IT security.

Then I decided to play stay-at-home dad for the next year. 4 months into it ... well, this is the hardest gig I've ever done :).

Systems engineer, helping to build "Skynet". Sounds cool, but, trust me, painting figures and playing wargames with them is more fun.

Analytics and business development consultant in a banks foreign exchange group. Write SQL, mine databases, find opportunities, develop strategies and then try to get in the project que to get funding for them. Which they rarely do these days. Hopefully we are caught up with all the regulatory and compliance work by the end of the year and can start to do some actual biz development in 2014.
