Ok I will start. Wondering if Kick Ass 2 will be any good, liked the first one (more than I expected to) though the sequel looks a bit slicker in terms of the fighting. part of the firsts charm was it was more like Big Bang Theory does kung fu than an 80's Van Damme film

I'm hoping that KA2 will be good, though I will probably wait for the blu ray release. The film I am waiting for is Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. mmm Nancy.

Anyway. Last film I went to the cinema to see was The World's End, which was good, but I don't think it was in the league of Shaun/Hot Fuzz. Though saying that Pierce Brosnan was excellent.

I thought Hot Fuzz wasnt as good as Shaun of The Dead though still watchable.

I usually see films once they hit Sky though slowly building up the Blu Ray collection. just part way through LOTR extended on BR. I also picked up the Aliens Anthology on Blue Ray for 10 so thats next

I only started on the Blu-rays in September when I went back for my final year of Uni. 60 quid for a good player and then the Avengers shiny silver box (despite owning them all on DVD anyway) was a good introduction to the madness. It's only recently that I've calmed down with it, as HMV's 5 for 30 got me a number of times over the year. My favourite blu ray box though has to be my Game of Thrones seasons 1 and 2. 50 well spent for the number of times watched.

Since I watch films while painting I go through quite a few of them. Currently waiting on my Iron Man 3 steelbook. It's all embossed and shiny

I saw Red 2 the other day very funny as good as the first film. Another recent film was a WW2 film noir called Shanghai, about an American agent investigating a death in Shanghai before pearl harbour..very good film, featured Gong Li, Chow Yun Fat and John Cusack

I'm reserving judgement until I see him do it, not seen a lot of his stuff but I quite enjoyed the Daredevil extended cut.

I'm all for it. I heard he was being shopped around for the JL movie but I thought it would be for a directors role.

Just got back from Thor: The Dark World. (Technically just got back from the pub, but Thor came first so stick with me) A vast improvement on the first one. As promised by the title and by the director (the guy who did the Blackwater for Game of Thrones (S02E09) but unlike some films, the comedy was naturally there, not forced in with a crowbar. If you care to look there are a few Star Wars references but nothing overtly so.

Unlike many films, were the best bits are in the trailers, the trailers barely covered this. A little slow in the mid section, it was also under the 2 hour mark but it told its story well. Apparently there are two after credit scenes (one after the colour credits, like after the Avengers) and one after the full credits. I only stuck around for the first, as my mate was determined to leave as he needed the loo.

Overall a solid 8/10, best movie I've seen since Iron Man 3

I watched some classics in the past week.

While waiting for trick or treaters on Halloween we watched Ghostbusters. I forgot how awesome Bill Fuggin Murray was. Ripley, Rick Moranis. Classic movie!

Following the world series, we watched my wife's favorite movie: Major league. again, I forgot all the funny parts in that movie. Charlie Sheen, Wesley Snipes, Bob Ueker as the announcer. Great one liners.

sadly I've hear terrible thing about Endor's game. All I've read and heard from friends is don't bother, save the money and go buy the used paper back. The book is amazing, the movie SUCKS! Bummer since it was one of my favorite books as a kid.

                              ok So!! movies watched lately!!
Amazing Spiderman!- must say I enjoyed it more than the Toby Maguire movies! and the Villain was LizardMan! was good to get away from GreenGoblin!! cool movie nothing bad to say about it really!

The Man of Steel!!- apart from the classic 80's Superman movie this is the best Superman movie for me! nice look into Krypton's history and demise and General Zod is Bad Ass as ya would expect but Russel Crow as Jor-el was a weird choice wasnt sure if he suited the role or not? buy Lois Lane was played by Amy Adams Who is possibly the hottest redhead on the planet!!

After Earth- Will and Jaden Smith this was a good Sunday afternoon movie! it didnt play out like I expected! the trailers made it look like they were both on some crazy adventure but(Spoiler Alert) its just Smith the younger who does the adventuring! so to watch it was a bit of a surprise to me anyway!! but enjoyed it, quite like the idea of the earth being covered in jungle instead of concrete lol
