    • love it! England were shocking.
I think Southgate is about done. The Scots will be well up for beating us and despite them being even worse than us you never know.
The Lesbian dinner lady has gone to Villa now so who knows who the FA will bring in. I would love to see Eddie Howe in there but otherwise I would go abroad, get someone young and dynamic in.
Theres a niggling feeling that a certain Arry might find himself in a job again soon

      • Need to get this discussion moving along again.

I'm glad to see Luis Suarez has managed not to sink his teeth into anyone lately, although that was part of his charm... you didn't know if he would score a brace, commit an egregious foul, or both, during a given game.

        Oh, and Go Gooners!

            • The Ox goes clutch with a beautiful delivery for Giroux... and the previous 89 minutes were forgotten. That performance was terrible, but ManU played their A-game.

              • lots of abuse claims coming out now. this could be like operation Yewtree all over again.

On another Note Mr G finally retires. Might have played for an odious club but he was a goodplayer in his time and a rare one in showing loyalty to his childhood team.

                        • So England into the final. Its not been pretty and Im still not convinced with Southgate. We have little attacking prowess and will struggle against that Italian back 4 but you never know what can happen

                          • mate, I have to write this :D
We've been mates for ages and I've seen your posts on Gareth...

I really think you have it wrong here. He's a manager that has been in two consequtive semis of big competitions (EURO, WC) out of which he's made it once into the final. But with whom?
since the 90' you've had so many great generations. Shearer, Owen, Rooney, Beckham, Gerard and Lampard etc etc. And all those teams managed to reach one semi (1996).
this team today are lumberjacks compared to these guys but they seem to be able to do what those before couldnt. I think it has a little to do with the manager. to prove my point, look at the Grealish subs during the semi. He needed him before you scored in the OT. Immediately afterwards he subbed him off for Trippier. why? because he needed more people in the back because he did his prep work and knew that the Danes will attack with four so he needed more people in the back. But also, he wanted Sterling's speed so Grealish had to go.
Not a lot of managers would do it, and even less would have the balls to go through with it.

                              Fair Point.
Dont get me wrong. I like Gareth, really nice bloke and hes a calming influence on the team after the likes of Sven and Capello. They certainly benefit from that. I just think they are flattering to deceive somewhat and too many thinking this a a great team. No they are not bad but more akin to the Greece team that won the Euros. We have also been lucky with the draw as we were in the World Cup until we met a decent team in Croatia.

Dont get me wrong I would love for us to do it and we have a chance (though Italy are strong favourites) I'm just not on the its coming home bandwagon as yet.
