  • What's your best Zombie Band?

For me it would have to be

    Frank Zappa on guitar
    Phil lynott on bass
    Keith moon on drums
    Freddie mercury as singer
    Richard wright on keyboards.

That's a really good line-up. I had totally forgotten that Richard Wright had passed!

I think I would only replace Frank Zappa....with Jimi Hendrix. Admittedly, he wouldn't quite fit with the rest of the band, stylistically or personality-wise, and it would probably be a Frankenstein production, but it's just too darn tempting to try it and see what kind of sound would emerge.

My band would not have a keyboard in it.

      Bon Scott Vocals
      Jon Bonham Drums
      Randy Rhodes Guitar
      Cliff Burton Bass

      They will be mighty!

Ah, yes, I think I would opt for John Bonham over Keith Moon. I think that would work better for Jimi, too.

I know some peeps think its not cool but, I am surprised that no one said Michael Jackson for the win as he was the top grossing music performer of all time. Oh and in case you didn't know he would look go as a zombie too! Seen Thriller?
And yeah, he did have his own band when he played too.

So my top zombie band list is, drum roll please:

              Performers..................................Former Bands
              Michael Jackson-Singer.....................Himself
              Jimi Hendrix-Lead Guitar....................Himself
              George Harrison-Rhythm Guitar........The Beatles

                  John Bonham
                  Cliff Burton
                  Dimebag

**** the vocalist. Bon Scott could just about keep up with them I guess but he just ain't got the versatility that someone like Freddy Mercury could offer. I suppose if someone shot Phil Anselmo in the face too, then i'd let him in and sack Bon Scott. :D

Hmm, come to think of it, Vinnie Paul would usurp JB if he ever gets topped off too.

So umm... basically Pantera, with Cliff instead of Rex! :P

80's Metal & Pop with some 70's Rock! Beat-It!, Dirty Diana, Michael can do it. Just search You Tube for which Michael Jacksons song are metal? and a bunch of peeps metal songs are there with Michael singing.
Hendrix & Wright will have the 70's rock vibe covered! It be a progression of 80's style, but not into thrash!
