Thanks fellas! Yeah, the red is too bright. I was going to hit it with a brown wash last night but ran out of time. If I get super lucky, I might be able to do that tomorrow since I have to take the whole freakin day off for an hour long medical appointment. :( Good call on the edge highlighting, other highlighting, lenses on the helmets, and reflection dots on the gems.

Someone on bookface mentioned rust on the metal, which is also a good call. Now to pull it all together. I'm actually really happy with how he's turning out so far! Be nice to get some finished models for 2017 under my belt.

looking good mate. nothing much to add to the stuff mentioned above. Rust sounds cool, too. Just don't overdo it...

Thanks. I just want to add a little rust around the bolts and areas where water/condensation might pool. I really want to add dust, but have no idea how.

don't know about dust, but you could add a cobweb or two...
there are a couple of methods (easy) to do it, just google it and you'll see... whether it's by using cotton buds or by using UHU glue, it isn't difficult and it really makes your diorama pop

I'm thinking about trying the Uhu method. I have thought about the airbrush & hairspray method as well, but think it'll be too messy.

I really like that armoured skeleton thing.

If you fancy adding dust to your diorama soft pastels are good.

I repainted the checks on his knee, the eyepiece on his helmet, , reflection on the gems, rust on the base, edge highlighting on the armor, and darkened up the red canisters. I'm calling him done unless you fine folks see anything I need to fix.

Love how you've upped your game based on feedback.

Only outstanding point for me is getting the canisters a little dirtier/weathered. Maybe add a few chips to expose the underlying metal? But that's it! Great work :)

Thanks! I thought about it, but kind of want to put this model to bed, so to speak. Normski (and others) got me to try some spider webs. After much cursing at the tube of UHU (we don't really have the right kind of UHU here in the US), I was able to make a few strands. I also tried a black background, which looked fine on my phone, but the uploaded pic sucks, so I apologize in advance.
