  • Modern Military Weapon Color Help- Black

Im working on some African rebel type models and I'm interested in painting their weapons in real world color- Black.

I've got the entire P3 line and a lot of Reaper Master Series paints.

How would you recommend I paint the weapons- machine guns, bazookas, etc, to get that modern "black" look?

    Thanks!

black highlighted with a dark grey... i'd use charcoal from the vgc heavies (watered down, of course) but dark elf shadow (rms) should work. extreme edge highlights with mebbe a greycoat grey (p3) or even lighter if the material should be extremely glossy. coal black (p3) i think has too much green in it for this purpose.
"what color did you use, red with a black wash?"

After the greys give them a black wash and then a blue glaze. It'll help blen the highlights and give more depth to the finish.
