  • Colour Match

It's right carry on to use, but this program matches different manufacturers paint colours

    http://colors.silicon-dragons.com/

& this matches the shades (apparently!)

    http://colors.silicon-dragons.com/shades/shades.php

... like I say a bit of pain, but might be useful to some
    Oooh. That's a BINGO!
This is grapeshot. This is what it does.

This was a helpful site. I used it often, but now its gone. The site is not available anymore.

Does someone know a similar web-page?

Did some digging, apparently this guy isn't doing too well, won't say more than that.

Am looking for an alternative right now.

Not as easy to use as the silicon dragon site but I find colour cop to be a handy utility for colour matching, you can select a colour from an image and it will produce the hex code and RGB codes for that colour, these can then be compared with the manufacturers charts to find a match. As I said not as easy to use for comparing/finding an alternative across ranges as silicon dragons but it may be an alternative until something better comes along.

                  Here's the doubledakka link http://www.dakkadakka.com/wiki/en/Pa...tibility_Chart
It only shows alternatives to the GW range though, and not vice versa.

Here's another one I've used the Birch10 shared with me: http://www.totengraber.net/paintdb/index.php

Not perfect, but has helped me find alternatives sometimes.
