I use that basing technique too. You putty then add coarse then fine sand to give a better finish?

I have some new putty and didn't want to try it only to have it screw up so it's just cork, I would add sand but 90% of the cork is going to get covered with snow only bit's showing the under side with some ice on them. Other wise I would put sand on to the cork, sadly I am having a hard time finding crushed glass to help my snow out wonder if it's legal where I live have to look that up.Comment

Made some more progress on the base and the mini is all good for the bath tomorrow, Cassu how are you going to pin your elf to the base. I also need to ask I may need more time found out yesterday I may be going to nights and that I will be told on Fri your Sat, I am thinking a week extra so I can get used to nights and working on my guy. make some!!!! rolling pin, pillow case, news paper! put glas in news paper inside pillow case pound the bejebus out of it when is small enough grains take it out and crush it with end of rolling pin!! always were protective clothing! any clear food jar will do!!
However!! here is an Idea for ya!! Miss Normski puts this crazy nail stuff on which she cures with UV light!! well one of the steps is some kind of really fine glitter and it sparkles like nobodys business!! I will find out what its called and message ya back! it comes in pretty much any colour ya like!!

K thanks Normski I would take some glass and jump up and down on it but my sister has 3 cats and a dog and all the neighbors have a dog don't want any of them stepping on the glass or eating it. Will look back for the info Normski thanks:07: this should insure an answer.Comment
