Personal best
I am really pleased with the way this one turned out. It could well be a personal best.

Well the metal looks good. As for the red I have no idea so I'll leave that for other people to comment on :laugh

Well done sir. I will level some fierce and scathing crit at you!!
I don't know that I love the red goo from the pipe on the base. I think you've done a good enough job establishing your colors on the model itself (Good God that sounded either really smart or totall pretensious!) and I think I would have rather the gooey stuff been a more traditional oily colored stuff. I think the red draws some focus away from the model myself.
That's just a pretty minor thing from what I think is a beauty fig. Love it, and I thin kit may be your best, though I was quite partial to your swamp entry.Awards:

The miniature looks really nice. Good metallics (you could possibly try to make the shadows a bit more matte) and the red and brown scheme is both fitting and well done. I do agree with Scott about the red goo, though. I think it is a bit too bright. The bright colour of it makes me think "what can that be?" instead of "feeling the atmosphere", if you know what I mean... But, the rest of the base look good and suits the miniature well. Good work, and congratulations on raising your own level. It's a great feeling, knowing you've achieved something you haven't done before or better than you have before.

Really nice, love the metallics - only criticism is the same as above, the red goo (makes me feel a little queasy looking at it - which might be the point?)

Anyone know what he said after that? I just lost focus and couldn't concentrate!
