My first try at nmm - old school Skaven
Hi Guys,
Here's something I've been working on over the last couple of weeks and it's also my first ever attempt at nmm (on the standard bearer only). As normal comments are appreciated.

What he said.
For a first try it's damned good but a plague monk probably wasn't the best mini to try and do a blade that clean with.Awards:

"I think they should all be topless, they're just more fun that way" - Vegascat

"The doctor put me on a course of placebos," said the lady in the straw hat. "But I don't take them. I'm saving them all up for a mock suicide attempt."

I really love the lighting effect you've gone for - very graphic novel-esque with hyper contrast.
I would consider keeping that high contrast look across the model as a whole.
PS.I also like the way you've been painting the wood."Resin...I think I just threw up a little" - ARG
I have not bought a miniature since Nov 2010.

Thanks for the comments - as always you all make some great points. I was really trying out the technique rather than being too worried about whether the model holds together as a dirty skaven - that's my line and I'm sticking to it ;-) Oh, that and I've no idea how to do dirty NMM.
I was pretty pleased how the wood and noses came out too.
