the internet dating part is a little scary...

I'm Becky - or Boris online.
I'm going to be 30 this year, and I'm married to Jason (warhamergrimmace), and we had our 11th wedding anniversary this year. No kids, but 4 house rabbits, our eldest is now 8 and our baby is 3.
We've moved around a lot, grew up in Cornwall, ended up working in Derby and currently in Sheffield.
I work as a Flash programmer (code, not graphics!). Recent work includes the Royal Institution Christmas Lectures interactive site.
I like melodic music, preferably with harmonies, but as long as it's not angry or shouty I won't mind it. (Ben Folds, Jack Johnson, Ry Cooder, Beach Boys, Third Eye Blind - just some of the stuff I've got going at the mo)
My claim to fame is being an extra in a movie where Nigel Hawthorne holds my hands. (Trevor Nunn's Twelfth Night).
I also like hiking and camping, just don't get to do as much anymore. I'd like to run the Derby 10K again this year, but with my bad knees I jog more than run :)

Okay, I knew it, you're compiling those secret files again.

    Anyway...

Hello, my name is Roger and I'm a chocoholic.
I recently turned 35 years old, moving headlong into middle-age.
I was born and bred here in Chesterfield with just my time at university actually living elsewhere. Originally I began studying Architecture at UCE straight after school but I knew deep down I didn't want to study it, and a 3-hour lecture about concrete sealed the deal for me to leave.
Whilst back at home and waiting to get on the Foundation in Art and Design course at the local college, I fell ill to Glandular Fever. That went away but left me with an illness nobody could tell me what it was for ages. Eventually I was diagnosed with M.E. or C.F.S. The next few years saw me start and stop and start again my college course, as well as deferrment to university again. I did manage to go to university, at the University of Lincolnshire and Humberside to study Graphic Design, specialising in Illustration (Later they changed the degree title to just Illustration). Lots of medication and good friends, with some breaks helped me get through the course to graduation. My health since has been a bit up and down and I've been unable to follow my chosen career.
I got back into painting miniatures and gaming in part to get me back into being creative again.
Now that's all said, here are other things about me.
I like a wide range of music and to illustrate that point I currently have in my CD collection Buena Vista Social Club, Roots Manuva, Gorillaz, Future Sounds of London, Boards of Canada, Robert Johnson, Metallica, Slayer, Isis, Boredoms and Axis of Perdition.
I attempt to play the guitar and have way too many minis to paint.
I currently have no real claim to fame.
    The eyes!, the EYES!!

    ...tapping fingers impatiently...

OK so I'd better say a few words

I'm Guy (Eldintux, Tux or Tuxie to most of you), I'm an ex-maths teacher who is looking to move into finance or IT.
Aged 39, separated with 2 kids, all living in Worcester.
I was born in Kent but have lived most places in the South of England and have even had a brief excursion to Scotland. I'm now living in Littlehampton on the south coast.
Music-wise I love rock and metal, but like most styles and even play classical guitar.
I'm self taught on the IT side, and I am now developing my web site skills - anyone want a web site? ;)

Iím Jon(athan), but known to many as Vern (after the Viz character - long story)
Iím 39 & have an 18 year old daughter to previous relationship (never been married), and two dogs (German Spitzís) called Basil & Bebe. Iím a Civil Servant (donít ever consider it!) and was born in Cheshire (but with very Welsh roots) and moved to Durham when I was 13.

I like most types of music - folk, rock, indie, Ska - but seem to be listening a lot to Fairport Convention, REM, 10,000 Maniacs (mainly coz our lass likes them!) & Duffy at the moment. My radio station of choice is Radio 4.

    I enjoy
ďwatching sheff wed get robbed againĒ
mainly coz I support the big team in Sheffield (again, another long story).

Iíve been gaming on and off (mainly off currently) since I was 15, but havenít really concentrated on my painting until recently. Iím into renactment with the Sealed Knot (ECW) but have a tendency to get a bit Ďgeekyí on historical discussions, so donít Ö

Canít think of any claims to fame - and thatís fine by me!

Ummm....ok. I don't envy the individual who has the job of going around measuring all of them.

    Is that available on DVD?

Anyway, on to the "internet dating" thing (which I've tried and it did not go well).

Bryan here - Hinton is my middle name (a name that has been handed down through the generations and one that will end with me since I don't have a son and I'm the last male in the line).

I'm 39, but still feel younger than that and have a daughter that is approaching her teen years much too quickly for my taste. Currently divorced and single.

I was born in Colorado (USA), lived in about seven different towns in three different states by the time I was five. Since then, even more towns in even more states. Have been residing in the town of York, Nebraska for the past 18 years.

My musical tastes are very eclectic.

Other than mini painting - and related hobbies - I enjoy reading and video games.

My claim to fame is being a writer for Wyrd. (that counts, right?)
