    Funding? :ROFL

The manpower was all voluntary, unpaid. Spare parts, when neded were sourced from all over the world as donations or by bartering with items held by the aircraft's owners. Some work, the engine for instance, was carried out by major firms free of charge. In the main it was hard graft by a group of volunteers at various places over a 19 year period. Then some pratt crashed it. It was rebuilt to flying condition, again, but was refused further permission to fly being 'too valuable'. Some nice footage on youtube, check out Black 6.

It's okay, but it could do with some weathering.

Very cool. So did it wind up in the roayl air museum? Messerchmitt's can't be very common. Not as rare asa Zero, but it's gotta be somewhere on display.

It's now in the RAF Museum at Hendon in the 'Milestones of Flight' hall.

A friend of mine builds working wooden aircraft in his shed. Don't know much about it but he's got a "Flying Flea"? on show at Shoreham airport.
"...but sorry looks like a primary school project!" - my best review yet!
