    Arena Rex Monsters

I'm always glad when a client sends some Arena Rex minis my way- the game has a wonderful set of sculpts.

Here are the two strangest monsters from their lineup- the chimeric Proximo and the emaciated Wendigo. The only trouble I have with these pictures is that the gloss doesn't show up (it works on bloodied areas- the practically undead Wendigo has a few areas that should look shiny).

The Wendigo really is very strange. I love your painting on both of them though!

giving Kingdom Death a run for its money in the strangeness stakes! Not a fan of the first sculpt but you painted them both great

And giving Kingdom Death something to compete with for best sculpted resin lineup too.

Arena Rex minis are sublime (in the ways I sort of wish we were still seeing new resins from Studio McVey).

David Diamonstone beat me at the Gencon competition a few years back with a beautifully painted Ar Fienel. He told me that painting Ar Fienel for competition was kind of like cheating.

But at least Mike McVey has brought up the standards we can expect from CMON's games.

I've always wondered what put him off on putting out new sculpts. I assume he's just too busy doing other things for games coming out.
