    trueName's Blood bowl teams wip

I'm not sure I've done a wip on wamp yet, or not in a while at least, so let's follow some Bloodbowl stuff seeing you all saw the team prepped and ready to be painted.

As usual I'll be trying out different things.

Primed black, all the bits where I want metal showing though after wear tear brushed silver, and then the whole lot covered in hairspray.

The first coat of primer on this lot was actually quite difficult - they are quite fiddly and lots of undercuts etc when they are assembled.

(I nearly forgot to take a pic at this point, but this pic more or less shows where it's at)

Then continue the (zenithal) priming with grey and white. I am wondering if I should have given the whole lot another coat of black first, but it'll be fine.

So I got 10/12 up to a certain point then didn't have a chance to finish off the last 2. Done that today.

The cloth parts are sort of done - I wanted to do these striped, but am intimidated by it. Which probably means I should have a go at doing the stripes.

Not much to see at the front. More to see at the back.

Man! You batch painters are crazy. I can't do it! I am still doing mine one at a time. Keep it up!

Thanks both. @Scott - I mix paints a lot (partly because I'm cheap and don't want to buy new paints when I've got all of these perfectly good citadel pots from the late 80's early 90's), so batch painting makes sense sometimes :)

So I mixed up a nice blue and painted on the stripes, but once layered on came out more greenish. I didn't think about that. I'll have to glaze a bit of blue over the stripes I think.

    Not the best of photos.

Glazed on some blue ink. Made the green look stronger... Drawing a line under that and moving on...

Gak. Must remember never to use ink - I've never got on with it. It can look fine, but it moves around after you leave it. Or at least it does for me.

My nice neat stripes. I'll have to tidy them up with the linen/white colour.

Looking forward to more pics! BTW, I really love the new BB models, but I've already got all the human and orc teams I need. :)

Hard to believe I haven't touched these in over two months - not what I was hoping for at all, but they got tidied away for a while.

I'll have to get back to it!
