    TBK's Shanghai WIP

I've been working on some of the Kingdom Death Monster figs. A fair amount of sculpting and some painting.

This is what I have so far on the painting front.

Comments, suggestions and critiques more than welcome. I'm learning and suggestions are very welcome.

    Anyway:

Also, taken with my phone camera. With no set up. Under LED light. Because Shanghai.

Ugh. China is rough. The air quality here is terrible. I've gotten pneumonia three times already in the past 5 months. I'm hoping to get to go home soon. We will see.

    Thanks for the kudos.

I can understand the air pollution. I travel there regularly with the other half to see her family in Shenyang. I quite like the country, though the traffic is hell and insane. Last year we did a bit of traveling, to Xian, Juziaghao ( not sure that's spelt correctly), Beijing and Chengdu. Outside the cities the air quality is much better. My biggest problem over there is the lack of table top gaming lol.

My wife came out for two weeks and we took a trip to Beijing. The air there was really clear. I guess we lucked out.

The cultural attractions in Beijing are really worth doing and I'm glad I went. We are also planning a trip to Xian. The flights are around $50 US so it's hard to say it's not worth going.

Ultimately there are a few folks that are staying in our apartment complex that are gamers so I am able to scratch that itch at least.

Xian is worth the trip, the old city is really impressive, especially the city walls. The Terracotta Army is also impressive though it was extremely busy when we went.

    Right,

So I started on one of the pin ups I have from Kingdom Death. One of the holiday Specials. Great looking model. I am starting with my comfort zone before I work into the flesh and face (No magnification out here in shanghai land either so this is going to be a challenge!)

Pics are total rubbish as usual.
