    Plasma/power weapons

So, for my Dark Angels army, I've been painting all their plasma weapons in shades of blue (based largely on a video I found showing OSL on plasma weapons done with an airbrush), and power weapons blue with white lightning. I have a set of the chaos figures from the Dark Vengeance set, and I was thinking green power weapons for them, to contrast with their red armor, but the plasma would stay blue (plasma's plasma, regardless of the alignment of the user, IMHO). I was wondering if anyone here had a differing set of colors for their plasma/power weapons, and how'd they come out? Also, the new grav weapons GW came out with: is there a standard color for those, or is it pretty much anything goes?

Grav weapons is what ever pleases you. As for plasma my preference is purple, but then I do like painting purple.

My power weapons tend to rather bland with a coloured wash over silver, but for plasma I go for either purple or orange, usually with a pulse of yellow at some part of the tube.

I used to clean steel with a nitrogen plasma machine... it was a kind of purple-peach-orange swirly colour, though how you’d paint it I have no idea!
