    Thanks, Truename and Darklord!

DL, ha, well I actually started out painting only fantasy... good ol Ral Partha figures and then lots and lots of Warhammer. But it was the historical stuff that got me into display painting, so that has definitely been a focus as of late. And thanks again, John's work was definitely something I looked at for reference as I tried to figure out painting orc flesh! =)

absolutely stunning~! The flesh really is wonderful. I'm always in awe of your painting. I may be volunteering for half a day so that I can actually afford to attend the Nova Open for at least one day.

Thanks! I'm going to Roman's seminars on Friday and Saturday, but will be around otherwise. Hopefully I'll see you there!

I put the finishing touches on the orc just the other day. Here's how he turned out...

Hey all, I haven't posted in a while but I'm still around! My latest project has had me go back to painting a 28mm figure, something I haven't done in quite some time! I have to say, I was pretty nervous to be going back to the small scale. I've gotten used to the larger figures and, since I'd need to simplify things a bit for the smaller one, I wasn't sure how happy I'd be with the results. But the figure has been turning out better than I expected. It's the 28mm version of Kingdom Death's White Speaker. The figure itself is just about finished, so now I'll be turning my attention to the base. Shouldn't be too much longer before she's complete.

I’m always surprised by how scantily clad she is, even though I have the model somewhere!
    She’s looking good though

Scantily clad? I'm not sure what you're talking about.

She looks pretty amazing. Nice work on the skin and the ummm... clothes.

Love how her skin turned out~! <3 She looks great overall! I realized after looking at her a lot, that her base (while I know you said its not done) really does make me focus on the model, but also makes me think of the KD world as pretty colorless, so the greys all make sense in my head.

great work as always sir. I have this sat in my cupboard to paint one day. The base is a bit draining on the rest of the model so it will be interesting to see it finished. OSL for the lantern?
