Not all painting supplies are easy to find.

The trouble with motivation is that I don't really understand what it is or where it comes from. A quick look on the magical interweb gives me this definition:
"The psychological feature that arouses an organism to action toward a desired goal; that which gives purpose and direction to behavior."
Yeah right, whatever! Doesn't help me in the slightest. I have plenty of goals. I have a huge unpainted pile of plastic/resin/lead, which I have recently added to.

I think I may be a little more than slightly mad so I've come up with a mathematical formula to help me keep track of and reduce my grey horde. It's based loosly on those diets that are supposed to help you loose weight by counting calories.
It doesn't matter the size of your grey horde, what you are tracking is the progress you are making in reducing it. Assembling and Painting your mini's earns you points whilst buying more cost them. All you do is calculate your points as you

Deadlines. I always struggle with deadlines.
At one end of the scale, if I don’t have one, I never finish anything. The lure of the next ‘great idea’ becomes too strong to resist way before the last ‘great idea’ is completed. My kitchen is currently sporting several figures in various stages of abandon. Some never even made it past the undercoat stage, some might only need an hour or two of tidying up but the common factor is that they simply are not going to be looked at
Random thoughts from the bottom of the pond.

Hmmm, found a blog. This place is full of surprises.....
I've only been sneaking around the virtual corridors of WAMP for a little while but two things have become very apparent.
The first is that there are so many people here that fall into the categories of 'nice', 'helpful', 'knowledgable', 'enthusiastic' (there are many more). Most, in fact, can pin all those labels onto themselves with pride. The competitions, reviews or gallery may be what gets people to take
