    Hey hey DL.

I'd like to renew my supporter status. But for the life of me I can't find the damned option to do so. Help?

I'm interested in helping out, I can write articles and reviews but I don't have design experience beyond knocking some basic stuff together. How much time do we need to invest in Portal for it to survive without a loss in quality? Would we be expected to take a journalistic approach or would we be given a brief for the articles/reviews.

Hiya Brett, Just an idea. We have enough noobs of verying degrees having to find solutions to a diverse range of problems painting, sculpting, basing etc. The follow up we see time and time again is one of the Wamp veterans always comes up with the right advice, a link to an article or a point in the right direction. I just thought it could be an idea to pick a problem every week and the solution and publish it in Portal. The result is that just as there are articles to improve the skilled painters there would also be something for those of us in the 101 classes. Whatchya think? Also gutted to read your thread regarding the house m8. It will be a few years but im sure the housing market will pick up. I know it can drive you barmy.

    Hi DL,

I just painted the back wall at the warehouse. That means I may being putting shelves up in a week or so. Once I get enough free room, I'll re-assemble my working tables. ;-)

Hey Brett. I am going to ask what may be a stupid question. When I try to look at my rep in the 'Settings' it never shows the latest rep received, but rather the first page of rep ever received way back when. Is there any way for me to find out the latest record of who is repping me and for what?

    Hi DL!
Knowing my kuck I am probably late in the game here, but had time to just wander around the forum and I saw that it says you have minis to sell, Do you still have some left over? I was looking at the Darksword ones and dire wolves from Warhammer. What old pieces did you have?
I hope that your financial situation is better now and that all is well with you and your family.

The Kickstarter Part I

by Darklord on 21-03-2015 at 09:42 AM
Well its not even 8am here at Wamp towers but I have already spent an hour and a half on Kickstarter things. But I thought I would take a few minutes to write a little bit about my experience so far. We are now past halfway and a week to go.
Currently we are past the 19,500 mark and should hit a mind numbing 20,000 later today. Its certainly a long way from where I expected to be.

Months ago (or is it years now?!!) when I first chewed the idea in my head the main goal was production.

Bringing in the New Year

by Darklord on 06-01-2015 at 09:42 AM
Happy New Year Wampers!

I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year. This time of year is traditionally one of new beginnings and for many of us a time to plan the year ahead, to dream of dream, create bucket lists or just vow to do some things better. Inevitably we fail on many but the belief is there.

While I don't hold with New Year resolutions myself it is a good time to spring clean the to do list.

So with that I have taken a little time to assess

The Cost of Art (Part I: the finances)

by Darklord on 11-02-2014 at 11:58 AM
I have been asked a few times on the process of commissioning a sculpt. So here is my experience and thoughts on the process.

I will start by explaining that I have not really gone down the usual route but it may be of interest anyway.

The first thing to note is that commissioning a sculpt can be very expensive. The top artists can easily charge 1000 for a 32mm sculpt. Add in more complexity and that could rise and that's just for the sculpt.

Having an

Let the Games begin!

by Darklord on 30-10-2013 at 10:27 AM
So after my last blog post there seemed to be some positive vibes coming from you guys so I thought i would tease you a little more with some things coming up.

Firstly I have begun work on a game. I wont say too much but I will say its not a skirmish, battle type game but it does involve miniatures and plenty of Wamp Humour (beware the monkeys in Fez's!)
Initial development has begun and I have a Wamp regular on board helping with the game mechanics. I am hoping for a release (most

The Darklord is rising

It has been 2 years since my last confession.....

Well not quite but almost. Real life and some unfortunate wamp related events have kept me away from writing my blog but I do enjoy them when I can though admittedly its never with any frequency despite what I tell myself!

In fact a combination of events which most of you are aware of did lead my to seriously consider whether to shut Wamp down. I was left with a distasteful experience of the 'admin' side of the hobby,
