Mama's Painting Madness

Hobby Chat : 40k

I haven't really posted anything related to the miniature painting hobby in a while. I've been busy painting my angel for the past month for an upcoming show that will be held this coming week.

I gotta give a shout out to my husband, Tim. He's an amazing man who tolerates me through thick and thin. He is the reason I got into the hobby to begin with. When I began painting, I painted 40k figures with him for his armies. The first things I painted for myself were the Beatles Resin kits that I got from the hobby store at that time.

Tim has been, and continues to be, my support in this hobby. There have been many, many times where I just wanted to toss out the brushes because I would get agitated or extremely low on how well I paint and he'd always be there to cheer me up and help me keep going. I owe him a lot..

So anyway, I wanted to dedicate this post to him as it's literally about him.

Lately, Tim's been busy painting his Ork Boyz to play since they're pretty amazing in the latest 40k rules. Amongst all the crazy things he's been making these boyz, are cannons! He's literally taken regular ordinary stuff that has been tossed out (i.e. my old CPAP machine tubing!) and formed cannons for his boyz. He's even gone as far as to use old pens that he cut up!

So I wanted to show everyone his creativity and work :) They're just primed right now, but they look awesome and will add a lot of personality to his army. The wheels are just wooden dowels we got from Hobby Lobby.

He should throw some grots in there :P As well he could put the ignition hole in them. Very nice work.
