Rumscratch, Dwarf Wereshark

Rate this Entry
Wereshark by Reaper Miniatures, painted for my challenge vs Waghorn41. As usual, my horrible photography skills make this mini look darker than it actually is and doesn't show the highlighighting very well either. :(

I think it came out really well. There are two area that I feel would benfit from a little more work; the red jacket, some shading need and the edges of the weapon which could benefit from some fine highlighting.

Thanks! You're right. The jacket as a whole needs at least one more highlight. To be honest, the jacket was turning out so well (though it really doesnt come through in the pictures) that I was afraid I was going to fubar it by trying to add another layer. The weapon does need some highlighting and I'll probably go back and add that plus some dark stippling near the base of the blade as well.Wag, thanks again for the challenge, I've really enjoyed it. And your theme really hit the mark IMO!

Never be afraid to foobar a mini. You'll never improve that way. You have no idea how many times I've tried something that looked so hideous that I completely painted over the area again to fix it. You can often learn the most from your biggest failures, so always push yourself, and don't be afraid to screw up a good thing. It's a hobby, not heart surgery!

And nice job on the shark!

Thanks! I meant to ask for your opinion of it when we met at Huzzah Hobbies. I have to admit that I'm afraid to fubar minis. Rarely I'll completely fubar one so badly that I'll strip it and start over.
