  1. WIP: St. Michael the Archangel (part 3)

I didnít like how the face looked, so I took my hobby knife to it for a little cosmetic surgery. Hahaha! Some brush-on primer and repainting of the face, and I think itís a great improvement.

  2. WIP: St. Michael the Archangel

My latest project is a gift for my son, who loves St. Michael the Archangel.

Started with red, my son's favorite color:

  3. Thief of Hearts WIP 11 - Putting it all together

I finished up painting the figure, and glued her onto the base. I added sand in the gaps, as planned, and will paint them once it dries. I also thought the whole composition needed a little something, so I added a ferret. :-) I'll prime and paint him up once the glue on him dries, too.

  4. Thief of Hearts WIP 10 - Almost done!

Here are some new shots. The one on the far right is intentionally overexposed so you can see her face, which would otherwise be in shadow from the hood. I haven't painted her eyes yet. They are just so teensy tinesy.
Looking at these, I think the skin tones could use some more shading... Skin tones and cloaks. I always fiddle with those the most.

  5. Thief of Hearts WIP 9

I'm afraid I don't have incremental shots for this next update. I went on a couple "painting dates" with local painters, and this represents the progress made during those sessions. Since I wasn't home with my camera and setup, I could only take photos after the fact.

    What I did:

    1. touched up the cloak
    2. highlighted
