View Full Version : Joe's Paint for...er...JoeK

Well, I thought I'd attempt to give this a go for the new year and see what happens. I've got a few painted figures which I don't really have huge amounts of attachment to, and I've decided that I'll see how much extra money I can get from this - which will in turn be ploughed into JoeK Minis to get more pretty things made.

So, I knocked up some better pics of them, and I've put a couple on eBay for starters and we'll see what happens.

First one I put up is:

and second one is:

The curmudgeon that I am, I always put down a base price on my eBay auctions of how low I'd be prepared to flog them for - if they don't go I haven't lost out - so I thought 20 each seemed okay. So, we'll see what happens :)

Wish me luck!

Cheers Brett :) . I also found out I have a fair few CMON credits left, so I've bunged 'em on there too.

Right then, these two sold. No huge bidding wars unfortunately, but they went for what I put them up for, so 40 for the two wasn't too bad. That'll pay for a few casts :p.

Got an Eldar Swooping Hawk up at the moment, with the same price:

So we'll see about that.

Gonna have a rummage through the grey mountain and see if there's a few (simple) things to paint up for this though. I've got a box of Orcs with big missiles strapped to them that have been begging to some paint on 'em since they were originally released a year or two ago! And some Space Wolf Termies that never saw any paint too...

That's all lovely work joe, love the bases and the colours.

Cheers :) . Wish I had the wherewithal to do it more regularly - which is sort of why I'm going to attempt to do more painting for a bit of money really! Only painting what I want to paint of course (I've done commission work twice and both times it nearly killed me :p ), but the thought that I'm doing it for JoeK Minis makes it seem a worthwhile pursuit in my eyes!

You and me both mate.

If you can't do it for what you love....

Popped up one more 'already painted' figure onto eBay:

See what happens on this one :p

Well, the Grey Knight sold for the 20-odd that I put down as the base, so that's around about the 60-mark for the three so far - having issues with the Swooping Hawk for some reason, but hopefully this time it might do the job...The tough bit starts now as I realise that I don't have any other figures I want to part with, so I'd better get a move on with those Orks! Might be a while though :p
