Wow, what a contest! 132 entries featuring everything from Space Marines, Historical Busts through to dioramas, vehicles and even massive terrain pieces.
Spread across 15 categories with entries from across the globe Wamped! has certainly delivered plenty of mini related goodness.

From those 132 entries we needed to find those special entries deemed worthy enough to be rewarded for their brilliance. It has certainly been a very tight race in most categories with 1 or 2 votes often been the difference.

But, all you really care about is who's won right? Ok so without further ado here are the results:

So a massive congratulations to Shane for claiming the top spot, but only just. He and Scott have been tied for the lead for days and remained so until the final whistle. It took a deciding vote to seperate them and it was the same story with one or two other categories as well. Iacton was actually tied for 3rd place overall as well but as he already had placed in that Orki took the honours.

We had 132 entries and the range of subject was fantastic.Everything from massive city terrain pieces through whole armies and dioramas to historical busts and large scale. I think the fact the top two entries were a bust and a dioramam featuring chav's just shows what an eclectic place this is and how well the different scales and genre's are appreciated here.

So well done to all our winners there were some fantastic entries. Also a big thankyou to everyone that took the time to enter, vote or comment. It's YOU that makes these things work so again thankyou to you all.
Also a massive thankyou to all our sponsors. They really do help us out and I hope you can help them out by returning the favour and checking out what they have to offer.

Portal 8 will be out in a couple of weeks featuring all the winners and we also have something extra lined up for all you supporters.

Well thats your lot, thanks again folks. Wamped! will return at the end of the year again with one or two tweaks. If your still wanting more competition goodness then we have the Studio McVey contest still running. Paint Wars will be kicking off soon and The details of WAMP2011 will be announced in a couple of weeks!

Can winners please PM me your name address and email details please (Terrain winners will be contacted directly by the Sponsor)

Any questions on the results feel free to contact me.

Thanks

Brett

Thanks very much again Mr Brett for the time and effort drumming up the sponsors and the actual organising of the event. Thanks to the sponsors also for throwing their collective hats into the ring.

Presumably because PrawnPower is listed without a position, meaning it is unclear if he is second, or whether the scenario should be PP first, Iacton second.

Congratulations to all the winners and indeed entrants to, in my opinion, a really relaxed and fun competition. And thank you all for your votes in the westwind section, it was a most pleasant but unexpected surprise.

Some great entries in the terrain section, I'm glad we didn't have to judge it ourselves, it would have been a hard one to call.

Yes you'll see the prizes. Sometimes delays occur but you wont be without even if I have to provide them myself. We have a hell of a lot of contests and thus sponsors here. There will always be the odd hiccup due to sheer numbers.

And please leave contacting sponsors to me. It can take time to build up a relationship with them. While some may not mind everyone contacting them others will and it may not even reach the person with the knowledge of the contest.

I will continue to chase these up for you and get them to you as soon as possible. Waiting is a pain and none of us like doing it but at leats its not stuff you've paid for

Oh sorry I should've been clearer. I didn't have acces to a cynical smiley at the time! :P I don't doubt that it is with all the best intentions mate, though as each sponsor is only responsible for thier own prizes, this point is irrelevent beyond the increased potential for error through odds, that you made anyway. You have my patience and faith as always. :)

And please leave contacting sponsors to me. It can take time to build up a relationship with them. While some may not mind everyone contacting them others will and it may not even reach the person with the knowledge of the contest.

Certainly mate. We were given the impression from your last update on the P.C. guys that they were very sorry for the delay and were sending the prizes out straight away. I doubt very much it was you that was lying, and so after the last however long (what, nearly 5-6mths now is it?) of waiting I have my doubts as to whether they have any intention of fullfilling their part at all.

I will continue to chase these up for you and get them to you as soon as possible. Waiting is a pain and none of us like doing it but at leats its not stuff you've paid for

Thank you again, mate. :)

...and yes I too am glad it's stuff we didn't pay for! Howver, I wont ever pay for stuff from them after this display of 'service' now. It shows great disrespect to the efforts of all of the contestants, and how we are less important than paying customers. Anyone in business knows that this is a surefire way to ruin your rep. They seem rather oblivious to this...

Well whatever happens, I believe you will do your part to the best of you abilities, and would thank you for your efforts (though I fear they will be in vein) :)

Cheers Brett!

I relay news as and when I hear it and pass on what they tell me.

I will add that I can understand your frustration (Im still chasing Privateer Press for a prize I won in Little Angels!) and see where your coming from. I will also add that I have a lot of companies interested in Sponsorship and space is limited. Things like this happening do get taken into consideration by myself.

Got my Westwind Aeromechs in the post today which was very fast as I only told Brett which ones I wanted a few days ago.

A big thanks to WW for their sponsorship and I look forward to their sponsored comp later in the year.

I'm going to have to get a Brit force for SotTR to go with the aeromechs alongside my Germans now. I'm also after a bucketload of bases from Twosoc's Foundations of War outfit, which I was unaware of before Wamped, so this sponsorship lark really does work!
