As you know I like to let you folks know as soon as I can details fo upcoming contests. So I will start this thread and add more details as they come in so you get as much time as possible to prepare.
As always these are sponsors that have pledged their allegiance to Wamp but there is always a chance a particular contest may not happen so none are gauranteed until the official start of the contest. (though we have never had a contest cancelled yet!)

So far confimred for 2011 (in no particular order) are:
Ironwind Metals
Warlord
Kabuki
Avatars of War
Redbox Games
Morland Studios
Hasslefree
Kingdom Death
Joek Minis
Eastern Front Studios

War Griffon

Cool

Already looking forward to the IWM contest, but I will also try to enter the Kabuki competition. There is that nice, assembled, ready-to-be-primed Kabuki miniature sitting on my workbench ...

Well, I've got the Kabuki Bug Hunter already (which is a brilliant sculpt, by the way...) so I'll be in for that...and the Ironwinds Metal-I've always wanted to do one of their not-BG ships, so if I can get a shop either here in the UK (which there doesn't seem to be anyone...) or one of our American friends to send me one cheaper that the stupid IM international postage (about $20...which is more than the model...) then I'll be in for that one, too...

kdlynch
01-10-2010, 07:46 PM
only cost me about $5 to ship a model from US to UK.... used first class (rather than the flat-rate), same delivery sched for international, and substantially cheaper.

Lost Boy
01-10-2010, 07:59 PM
Yep. I sent something for my Mum back when I went to Florida a few years ago and it cost me about $20...and it was BIG. When I checked out the international postage for the IW ship I wanted for the last competition on WaMP, the ship was $19.95 and the postage was $20...

Needless to say, I didn't bother...:frown:

wasn't scibor supposed to be this year? We running out of time for all the comps I wanted to see.

Darklord
03-10-2010, 01:36 PM
Scibor was scheduled as the last contest before wamped - as it stands we wont be running a Scibor contest due to a lack of communication! If he resolves that I may look to add him to the Wamped contest.

I have a new sponsor lined up for next year - Morland Studios. Can't say anymore about them at the moment apart from they have some grreat minis lined up and its a Wamp members project - should be good!

it seems that 2011 might be too short ;) what happens if you find more than 12 sponsors? 2 comps per month? combined comps with more than one sponsotr

same as this year - the plan is (if its suceesful!) to have Wamped again at the end of next year with multiple categories and sponsors. It means we can have as many sponsors as we like, but also we can accomodate smaller companies that may not suit a stand alone contest. I would love to build Wamped up to the scale of Little Angels or even bigger!

How about Otherworld for 2011. I've always wanted to paint some of their minis, but never had an excuse to order from over the pond.
