What will be your first mini on the auction block?

I'm not sure! I'm going to look through my Reaper minis, and see if I can't make a playable D&D piece from one of those.

I don't have any plinths or wood blocks for a more display oriented piece, so I'm going to aim for the playable crowd to get started. I have loads of extra bases, and I shouldn't have a problem putting something together.

I'll definitely be posting when I pick something out!

For my first mini, I'll be doing Velmarius Elazarin, Reaper #60070.

Thus far, he's out of th eblister and mold lines are cleaned up. He had a nasty mold shift along the robes on his right side, and I had to use the egg-shaped diamond bit on my Dremel to get in there and smooth out the ledges in among all the curves of the robe. It was a pain, but should turn out OK. I'll know once I get some paint on him.

Velmarius is primed and the blue base of his cloak airbrushed on. Still lots to do, but progress is progress.

And it sold for $25, for a net profit of $9 or so.

Lessons learned:

Charge for shipping, that hurts
Paint something that has an established character - RPG minis are too personal to try and play the market with (unless they're villains, maybe)

not a fan of that model myself. Will be interesting to see how the PP sells compared to GW
