View Full Version : Bruce's SAPO

Hi! This Sapo is my first bust. I'll try to present it in a Event on Leganes in a two weeks time at standard category.
Thing I want to do:
- Work on the shadows and the recesses with a violet tone (Violet Red from VMC?)
- Work on the skin near the eyes and the ears in a similiar tone of the lips.
- Work with clearer tones in the dewlap...maybe make it start near to the lips to make it look bigger.
- Leathers with Khaki VMC and several washes.
- Colth with a kind of orange-red tone
- Eyes....!! Big challange...dontknowwaaattodo!! I even repainted them once...
and more and more... maybe I will not finish it at time to Leganes but...lots of fun with it!
Please any advice on mistakes I'm doing or things to improve would be helpful and forgive me for my english!
Seee ya!
Bruce form Barcelona.

The skintone is done with acrylics from Vallejo Model Color:
Base - Turquoise + Brown sand
Ligths - Base + Ice blue

Hey Brue, I like that red shading under his chin and how you're picking up the light and dark just below his mouth. Nice eyes too, they look like they just need some gloss varnish. As I said last night, fingers crossed for you.

Yeah progress so far looks great Bruce. Sweet job on the eyes and I like that you have used alternate leather effects for the chest and goggles.

Looking good mate. I really like the skin colours and the red of the shirt reflecting under his chin.

Hi! I leave you all the pics I've been tajing with my cell phone during the process. I've taken them to share it with my pals but to remember the colours used in every step.
As you'll see I finally changed the eyes wich I tink It's been a great decision!
I'll post the rest of the process in a new "reply".
Any question or advice will be helpful.
Thanks wampers!!
