So here we are again for the 8th time this year we stand on a precipice wondering shall we fall or shall we soar.
well ladies and gentlemen we had 14 lovely entries but alas only 3 have found their wings and so withou further ado the winner of
Ironwind Metals Contest 2009 is......

with a massive 44 points for his Toxic Spirit entry.

Coming in on his heels is GunjiNoKanrei
with 24 points for his Locust, just 1 point ahead of.......

Darklord with his Vulture scoring 23 points (that was close!)

So there are your winners.
Jabberwocky collects $30 credit at Ironwind metals with free shipping AND $30 of scibor goodies
GunjiNoKanrei grabs $20 worth from Ironwind and $20 from Scibor
and Darklord nets $10 of each.

So a big thankyou to Ironwind metals for their support of this contest

and Scibor (demi in particular) for doubling the prize fund up for us

Was a real fun contest a big thankyou to everyone that entered especially
MyrnnyxMinis who put in 6 entries but unfortunatley didnt win a prize so i would like you to take my $10 of Ironwind credit instead.
A big thankyou to everyone that took the time to vote and comment.
Dont forget if you want further critique you can post your entries in the 'latest mini' or 'tell me i can take i' sections.

Other votes went to Panther by GunjiNoKanrei (5 poimts), Ariel servant by MyrnnyxMinis scored 2 points and 1 point each went to Light and Lance (Keeper), Torch bearer (MyrnnyxMinis), Elemental (MyrnnyxMinis) and Greenblad (NeatPete)

Hope you all enjoyed the contest and time to get the brushes out again as we move onto the Armorcast contest.

Congrats to the winners! I wanted to do a round of judging but Mechs just don't do it for me. I felt like I would be a bit more prejudice in my judging and didn't want to taint the results

27-10-2009, 09:42 PM
stahler - the beauty of this place is everyones opinion is appreciated - most of us dont know about mechs !
we try and promote participation from all levels here - it great to get feedback but also learning to critique a paintjob and look at it with a crtitical eye also helps ourselves with your own work.
Your opinion matters - everyones opinion matters - even Kesters

27-10-2009, 09:44 PM
Well I still intend to go offer comments and critiques, but didn't feel like I should judge the mechs. Since some were well executed, but not really what I care to see

27-10-2009, 09:55 PM
Congratulations Jabberwocky!! When I saw your entry I immediately knew it would be the winner :)

And I came in second - w00t! When viewing the entries I would have sworn it would come down to a neck-and-neck race between Darklord and Jabberwocky with Jabberwocky (closely) winning in the end.

Thanks to everybody - participants, voters, commenter. Thanks for making this a great contest!

I am already looking forward to the next IWM contest.

@Stahler77: yes, Mechs are not everyones coup of tea. But your opinion is definitely welcome - should you want to give it.

And speaking of goodies:

Dear Mr. Degenhardt,

Thank you so much for your contribution of $10.00 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure in honor of wamp-forum.com miniature contest. Your support is hard at work bringing us closer to our goal of saving lives and ending breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures.

With nearly $1 billion invested to date, Susan G. Komen for the Cure has become the world’s single largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to curing breast cancer at every stage from the causes to the cures, to the pain and anxiety of every moment in between. In fact, since we started in 1982, practically every advance in the fight against breast cancer has been touched in some way by a Komen grant.

Working with friends like you, along with survivors and activists in 125 U.S. cities and around the world, Susan G. Komen for the Cure serves the breast health needs of millions, and has helped save countless lives.

Again, I want to express my sincere appreciation for your generous donation and your commitment to our promise to bring an end to this devastating disease. The success of Komen for the Cure is made possible through the considerate support received from corporations, organizations, survivors, advocates and individuals like you. Because of your help, we are one step closer to creating a world without breast cancer.

It was much appreciated. I am enjoying painting those extra moscals. I'll order some more for sure! I did the first one and got some good comments on it for improvement. The next one has the primer drying on it right now, so maybe if I get some time I can post a pic tonight. TY!

So are you Piotr? are there more people involved in Scibor, or is it just you? I think I am spamming this thread.
